Under parent company, Carbon Sink, Infinitree has been selected as one of ten finalists competing in the Virgin Earth Challenge. A $25 million prize will be awarded to the company that can best demonstrate the ability to remove a gigaton of CO2 from the atmosphere annually. Carbon Sink and sister company, Azolla2, are working in conjunction with Infinitree to mobilize intellectual property assets and developed technologies to achieve this goal. The Carbon Sink approach marries Azolla2 biological carbon sequestration methods with Infinitree direct air capture technologies to create useful products and fuels. Through this collaboration, the Carbon Sink family of companies will create profitable business models with carbon-negative externalities.
